QR codes will be introduced in Kursk to visit public places

The authorities of the Kursk region have decided to introduce QR codes in Kursk from October 11 to visit public places. This is stated on the website of the regional administration.

According to the regional authorities, such a measure in the future will increase the number of spectators in theaters and cinemas, as well as the number of visitors to concert venues, cafes, restaurants and other city institutions. The decision was made at a meeting of the operational headquarters for combating the spread of CORONAVIRUS, headed by the governor of the region Roman Starovoit, the report said.

Which public places will be subject to this measure from October 11, the local authorities did not indicate. it is assumed that only those who have recently been vaccinated against coronavirus or have been ill with covid-19 will be able to enter there .

“Despite all our efforts, unfortunately, the pace of vaccination is lagging behind the desired [level],” said Starovoit, commenting on the situation. “The direct reason for the increase in the incidence is just the low level of vaccination. Target indicators were not achieved. Our compatriots do not understand the need to be vaccinated, despite the many victims,” he added.
