In the Jewish Autonomous Region (JAO), another 12 ambulance workers who refused to be vaccinated against CORONAVIRUS wrote their resignations, the total number of doctors who decided to quit in the region increased to 27. This is reported by the local Nabat portal, citing the regional prosecutor's office.

Statements were written by doctors from the ambulance branch in the village of Pashkovo, the prosecutor's office specified.

Ivan Krasnoslobodtsev, an employee of an ambulance station in Obluchye and a deputy of the district assembly, told the portal that doctors from Pashkovo and Obluchye met with the assistant prosecutor of the district, Ekaterina Starostina, 19 medical workers were present at the meeting. “It turned out that 27 applications were received from these branches for dismissal due to vaccination coercion,” he said.

Compulsory vaccination against coronavirus for a number of categories of citizens has been introduced in the region since October 11, in particular, medical workers are required to be vaccinated. In case of refusal of doctors to be vaccinated without a document on the medical exemption, the employer is obliged to remove such an employee or transfer to a remote work format. According to the decision of the authorities, it is necessary to get vaccinated with the first component of the vaccine before November 15. The second component is required to be vaccinated over the next month - until December 15th. The resolution states that at least 80% of employees in a number of areas must be vaccinated.

Over the past 24 hours, 46 new patients with coronavirus have been identified in the Jewish Autonomous Region, two previously ill patients have died. During the entire period of the spread of infection in the region, 9,431 people fell ill, 297 people died.

More than 44.3 thousand people were vaccinated with the first component of the COVID-19 vaccine, more than 40 thousand people were fully vaccinated. Thus, the level of herd immunity in the region is 39%, the headquarters calculated.
