In Bashkiria opened a criminal case after the outbreak of COVID-19 in a children's camp

Investigators opened a criminal case on the outbreak of CORONAVIRUS infection in the children's summer camp "Seagull", located in the Sterlitamak district of Bashkiria. This was reported by the press service of the republican prosecutor's office.

“It was established that in July 2021, 45 underage campers and one employee were diagnosed with coronavirus. In total, 344 children rested in the camp and 47 adult employees worked, ”the supervisory authority said.

The sick, as well as the children and employees of the institution who had contact with them, were taken out of the camp. The infected were prescribed the necessary treatment. The camp itself was disinfected.

As established by the prosecutor's check, the administration of the children's camp did not ensure compliance with the sanitary and epidemiological rules in the institution. On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet security requirements). The oversight agency also demanded that the violations be eliminated, and a corresponding submission was sent to the DIRECTOR of the primary trade union organization of the camp.

As RBC Ufa previously reported, cases of covid-19 were detected in 10 summer camps. The children's camp "Chaika" in the Sterlitamak region had to be closed. According to the territorial department of Rospotrebnadzor, the spread of infection there was due to ignoring sanitary standards, when parents communicated with children through the fence without masks. The HEAD of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, instructed to dismiss the leaders of children's camps, who allowed the spread of infection, "for slovenliness".
