The HEAD of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, by his order created a headquarters for ensuring the cybersecurity of the republic. The body was established "in order to ensure information security, coordinate activities and organize the functioning of the reporting system for incidents in the field of cybersecurity."

Rustam Muratov, First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the Republic of Belarus, will coordinate the work of the headquarters and other republican departments in the field of cybersecurity. The headquarters also included the acting head of the administration of the head of the republic Ural Kilsenbaev, the minister of digital development of public administration of the Republic of Belarus Gennady Razumikin, the head of the apparatus of the interdepartmental Council of Public Security of the Republic of Belarus Valery Oleinik and others.

As Gennady Razumikin, the head of the republic's Ministry of Digital Development, told RBC Ufa, the cybersecurity headquarters was created right now in response to the increased threats to the digital stability of the region.

“It's no secret that after the start of the special operation in Ukraine, various hackers became more active. In the early days, federal websites of public services, government procurement, websites of various departments and federal media were attacked. That is, this is a rather serious threat and is now in the zone of special attention. The second danger is that many Western corporations from the it sector have announced the suspension of their solutions on the territory of the Russian Federation. It is clear that we and commercial companies use a fairly large amount of Western software and hardware. Accordingly, our task is to take comprehensive measures so that hackers do not get us, and so that the work of our software and hardware does not stop, ”Razumikin said.

As RBC Ufa reported, Russian companies were offered to purchase domestic software at a 50% discount. Half of the cost of licenses for products is compensated by the federal budget as part of the business digitalization assistance program. To get access to Russian software at half price, a small business entity must be in the SME registry and be registered on the SME Digital Platform website.
