Two teams have been suspended from participating in the World Folklore Festival, which takes place in Bashkiria from July 3 to 10. This was announced by Deputy Territorial Administration of Rospotrebnadzor Yevgeny Stepanov at a government meeting on Tuesday, July 6.

“In order to ensure sanitary and epidemiological well-being, two groups have been suspended from participation in the VI World Folklore Festival: a group from Uzbekistan and a group of the Gzhel Dance Theater ( RUSSIA ),” he said.

The HEAD of the republic, Radiy Khabirov, said that one of the artists of the Moscow Gzhel team had a fever, and a PCR test for covid-19 was positive. The group was immediately isolated, the condition of the artists was monitored by doctors.

“Patients with a positive PCR test have taken all the necessary measures for treatment and isolation. The rest of the team was immediately isolated, ”said Maxim Zabelin, Minister of HEALTH of the region.

Since the participants of the Gzhel Dance Theater did not contact other delegations and organizers of the event, there was no threat of the spread of CORONAVIRUS infection, and the team returned to Moscow.
