Tourists from RUSSIA can enter Austria if they have been ill with covid-19 in the last six months or have been vaccinated with a vaccine approved in the European Union. This was reported to RBC in the Austrian Tourism Office.

“To put it very simply, a standard tourist from Russia can fly to rest in Austria only if he has been ill with COVID-19 in the last 180 days and can confirm this with an official document, such as a certificate from Gosuslug in English,” the statement said.

Holidays in Austria can also be spent by those who have been vaccinated with one of the vaccines approved by the European regulator EMA. These are Swedish-British ASTRAZENECA, Indian Covishield, American Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson. Johnson & Johnson's single-component vaccine will not be considered sufficient to qualify for vaccinated status in Austria from January 3, 2022.

The Russian drug Sputnik V has not yet been approved in the EU.
