People's Artist of Russia, circus DIRECTOR and trainer Viktor Kudryavtsev died at the age of 74, Yuri Nikulin, HEAD of the advertising and special projects department of the Moscow Nikulin Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, told RBC.

"The cause of death was a long-term illness . The date of the farewell and the burial place will be known later, and the information will be posted on our social networks," he said.

The SHOT TELEGRAM channel wrote that Kudryavtsev's death was caused by cancer. In addition, according to the channel, in recent years the artist has had complications after suffering from coronavirus: two years ago he experienced clinical death

Viktor Kudryavtsev was born on January 13, 1951 in Moscow. After graduating from the circus school, he joined the team of the People's Artist of the USSR Mikhail Rumyantsev (Karandash) and performed in acrobatic numbers, but in 1979 he fell from a height and suffered a spinal fracture, after which he went to work at the Soyuzgoscirk. At this time, he graduated from GITIS.

While studying at the institute, Kudryavtsev decided to become a bear trainer. He began working in this capacity at the Moscow Circus on Vernadsky Avenue, then moved to the Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, where he worked with his wife, Honored Artist of Russia Olga Kudryavtseva. Now the number "Trained Bears on a Car" is performed under her supervision. 

The bears in the Kudryavtsevs' acts performed tricks on a real car, could spin up to forty hula hoops at once, perform gymnastic exercises inside a giant wheel, ride skateboards and go-karts.
