Turkey expressed hope for a ceasefire after the talks in Istanbul

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu expressed hope that the talks between the delegations of RUSSIA and Ukraine, which will be held in Istanbul, will lead to a ceasefire. He stated this on Twitter.

“We hope that the meetings will lead to a lasting ceasefire and create an opportunity for peace,” Cavusoglu wrote.

He also added that Turkey is aware of the responsibility "due to the trust shown by both sides."
