FORBES magazine has published a ranking of the 400 richest people in the United States for 2021. For the first time in 25 years, ex-president Donald Trump was not included in the list.
The total wealth of the 400 richest Americans, according to the publication, is $ 1.8 trillion, which is $ 500 billion more than a year earlier. The wealth of the eight richest people in the United States on the list exceeds $100 billion.
For the fourth time, Jeff Bezos, owner of aerospace company Blue Origin and founder of Amazon, topped the list. His fortune is estimated at $ 201 billion. The second place was taken by the owner of SpaceX and Tesla, Elon Musk, with a fortune of $ 190.5 billion. In third place was the owner of FACEBOOK, Mark Zuckerberg, his fortune is estimated at $ 134.5 billion.
Fourth position went to Microsoft founder Bill Gates with $134 billion, who for the first time in 30 years was not among the two richest people in the United States. The reason for this was a divorce, as a result of which he was forced to transfer part of the assets to his ex-wife. Rounding out the top 5 was GOOGLE co-founder and co-owner Larry Page with $123 billion. His Google partner Sergey Brin, who was born in Moscow, came in sixth with $118.5 billion.
