The governor of the Perm Territory, Dmitry Makhonin, spoke about the difficult situation with traffic in connection with the repair of the road to the KamHPP. According to him, the repair of that section is a necessary measure, but the traffic "could have been better organized." He stated this during his live broadcast.

“When I look at today’s complaints, I remember probably 2020, when there were even more complaints about the road not being repaired there. it was decided to postpone the repair in 2021, now the city authorities have begun repairing the facility. This is a forced measure, because this is a complex hydraulic structure and God forbid if something happens to it. Another question, of course, is that this is due to the inconvenience for residents, it was possible to organize traffic better. But a major overhaul definitely needed to be done. As the city authorities say, they will try to make it much faster, the road will be ready by September,” Makhonin said.

Earlier, RBC Perm reported that on May 16, Perm residents massively began to complain about traffic jams in the KamHPP area. The reason was the start of the repair work of the roadway.

Then the city authorities announced that from May 26 to June 1, traffic in two lanes on the road through the dam of the Kama hydroelectric power station will resume in Perm.

This is due to the blocking of traffic through the railway crossing on Pisareva Street due to the repair of Russian Railways.
