The Rostov region has become one of the most popular regions for holiday home rentals. This follows from the data provided by Avito Real Estate.
According to the study, in the Russian Federation there is an increased interest of Russians in the daily rent of suburban housing on the eve of the May holidays. In the whole country, the demand for short-term rental of suburban housing increased by 88% in April compared to March.
In the Rostov Region, the number of requests for renting suburban housing in the Rostov Region increased by 2.3 times over the month, compared to April 2021, the increase was 28%. The average daily rent offer price was 3,000 rubles.
In other regions, representatives of Avito also recorded a high positive trend. The strongest demand for daily rent of country houses and cottages on the eve of the May holidays increased in Dagestan - 4.2 times. In general, in the Russian Federation, the figure has almost doubled.
Such growth, according to Yevgeny Sosnitsky, CEO of the Rostov real estate management company Title, is primarily due to the suspension of the Booking and Airbnb services.
“Due to the fact that these services stopped working, the supply and demand that they used had to go somewhere. They moved to Avito, so they saw these flows of requests from customers in this company and recorded such an increase. This is confirmed by the fact that a similar increase was recorded in other regions. For business trips and short-term vacations, many still used Booking and Airbnb, their high demand was obvious, ”Sosnitsky said in an interview with RBC Rostov.
Recall that Booking.com, the world's largest search service for hotels and temporary housing, limited work in RUSSIA in March 2022. At the same time, the popular rental service Airbnb suspended its activities in Russia.
