The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) has reached an agreement with the Indian pharmaceutical company Serum Institute of India (SII) on the production of the Sputnik V CORONAVIRUS vaccine. The fund told RBC.

“SII is the world's largest manufacturer of a coronavirus vaccine. <...> it is assumed that the first batch of the Russian vaccine will be released by the manufacturer in September, ”the message says.

It is planned to produce more than 300 million doses of the Russian vaccine annually at SII facilities in India. The company has already received the necessary cells and vectors from the developer of "Sputnik V", the center. N.F. Gamaleya.
