After the end of the May holidays in Moscow, there is an increase in the incidence of covid-19 , since on non-working days people “didn’t really want” to go to hospitals and turned to doctors only after the end of the long weekend, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin explained on the air of the Rossiya 1 TV channel ".

“After the May holidays, there was a surge in detections and hospitalizations, because many spent almost 10 days in the country, at home and did not really want to go to polyclinics, hospitals. After waiting for working days, they came with all this,” the mayor said.

Sobyanin noted that over the past week, such indicators as the number of identified patients and hospitalizations have decreased. At the same time, he noted that the incidence rate remains quite high, so we must “not forget”.
