Kazan universities surveyed by RBC Tatarstan organized voluntary vaccination of employees at the workplace. For example, KAI has vaccinated 19% of the total number of employees to date

The decision on mandatory vaccination in Tatarstan has not yet been made. Rospotrebnadzor in the Republic of Tatarstan has not yet published any documents. However, the chief sanitary DOCTOR of the republic, Marina Patyashina, said that if the epidemiological situation in the region worsens, then certain categories of citizens may be required to be vaccinated.

In Kazan universities, RBC Tatarstan reported that they were agitating students and employees to get vaccinated against covid-19 . However, vaccination has not yet been charged with a duty, since there is no decision of the regional Rospotrebnadzor on this.

“The university constantly monitors the incidence and conducts explanatory work on the need for vaccination among students, teachers and staff. Employees, teaching staff and students are vaccinated at will, ”KNITU-KAI press service told RBC Tatarstan.

To date, about 19% of the total number of employees have been vaccinated at the university. On the territory of the university, vaccination was organized three times with the invitation of doctors.

The Council of Rectors of Universities in Moscow and the Moscow Region, according to TASS, recommended that educational institutions in the capital start the new academic year in a hybrid format due to the deteriorating epidemiological situation. it is proposed to admit to full-time classes either vaccinated students, or those who have certificates of the presence of antibodies, or documents on contraindications to vaccination. For the rest, it is recommended to organize online classes.

The press service of the Kazan State Power Engineering University (KSEU) also stated that they adhere to the recommendations and decisions of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tatarstan and the republican headquarters to counter the spread of a new CORONAVIRUS infection. Staff and students can go vaccinate the campus. There is no information about the number of people who have been vaccinated at the university. University employees can take an antibody test at a discounted price.

A similar position is taken by the executive authorities. For example, the press service of the Ministry of Labor of the Republic of Tatarstan noted that the introduction of mandatory vaccination is within the competence of Rospotrebnadzor. therefore

“In Tatarstan, during the pandemic, social service workers for a long time worked in self-isolation, lived in stationary social institutions together with recipients of social services, and did not see their children and families for a long time. Of course, it was not easy to work in such conditions, and no one would want to go into quarantine again.

It is also worth noting that workers in the social sector and the employment sector are in constant contact with citizens, including people over 65 who are at risk. We have a great responsibility not only for ourselves, but also for our wards, recipients of public services. That is why we are well aware that the best way to protect yourself and others is to get vaccinated,” the ministry said.

On June 19, Rospotrebnadzor of the Republic of Tatarstan announced that they do not exclude the introduction of mandatory vaccination for certain groups of the population.

“Today, in a stable situation, there are no grounds for taking more stringent measures. We continue mass vaccination against covid on a voluntary basis. However, with the worsening of the epidemiological situation and the preservation of low rates of vaccination, I do not exclude the decision to make vaccination mandatory, especially for certain professional groups, as other regions have already done,” Patyashina said.

The republic received 548 thousand doses of the vaccine, 447 thousand people were vaccinated, she noted. Every day, about 30 new cases of COVID-19 infection are detected in Tatarstan. The daily growth rate remains at the level of 0.1%.

Earlier, the authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan have repeatedly spoken about their intention to vaccinate 60% of the population. Such an indicator, according to Rospotrebnadzor, must be achieved before autumn in order to meet the seasonal rise in the incidence in readiness.
