Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner, who enjoyed wide influence during Donald Trump's first presidential term, have said they will not hold official positions in their second term and will remain in their Miami home, SCMP reports, citing informed sources.

During Trump's first term, Kushner served as a senior adviser to the president. The couple had virtually unlimited access to the HEAD of state and worked on a wide range of issues, including Middle East peace talks and the development of a covid-19 vaccine .

Ivanka Trump has given up her involvement in politics and has chosen to devote time to her family and raising her three children, wanting to support her father as a daughter rather than an adviser. Trump's sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, will also not hold official positions, focusing on business and new projects, SCMP claims.

Kushner, who runs a private equity firm with Middle Eastern investments, is focused on business but continues to advise Trump on Middle East strategy, helping with staff selection and advising members of the US presidential cabinet during the transition , the publication notes.

Some Democrats and Republicans have expressed concern about the Middle Eastern investments in Kushner's company. Ivanka Trump's husband, in turn, denies the accusations, calling them politically motivated.

The publication's source also claims that Kushner is actively assisting Steve Witkoff, Trump's special envoy to the Middle East, in developing strategies in this area. Donald Trump intends to continue expanding the Abraham Accords and achieve normalization of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia, where Kushner is likely to retain a key behind-the-scenes role.

The Abraham Accords were signed in September 2020 in Washington. They formalized the normalization of relations between Israel, Bahrain, and the UAE. The name of the agreements refers to Abraham, who is considered the spiritual ancestor of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism.

Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney nominated him for the Nobel Prize and said Trump played a key role in reaching the Abraham Accords, the first peace deal in the Middle East in three decades.
