Sberbank will transfer up to 70% of employees in Moscow to remote work, RBC was told in the press service of the bank.

The decision was made in connection with the "rapid spread" of the new strain of CORONAVIRUS "omicron" and will come into force on January 20.

The remote transfer will affect employees of the Moscow offices of the bank. Sberbank expects that the measure will help minimize the increase in the incidence among employees and their families.

Sberbank branches will continue to serve customers as usual. Regional divisions will decide on the transfer of employees to a remote work format on their own, depending on the situation with the spread of covid-19 .
