According to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the restrictions imposed in the region are enough to prevent the spread of the virus. Rospotrebnadzor does not exclude the introduction of mandatory vaccination for certain groups

“It seems to me that the measures we have taken, with their strict observance, are sufficient for the time being. But checks organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Rospotrebnadzor show that people have calmed down a bit. As you can see, covid hasn't gone anywhere. Therefore, we will monitor the situation,” Rustam Minnikhanov said today at a meeting in the government of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Marina Patyashina, HEAD of the Rospotrebnadzor department for the Republic of Tatarstan, said that in June 926 public service facilities were inspected. Violations were revealed on every 5th of them, while in May - on every 10th.

“Today, in a stable situation, there are no grounds for taking more stringent measures. We continue mass vaccination against covid on a voluntary basis. However, with the worsening of the epidemiological situation and the preservation of low rates of vaccination, I do not exclude the decision to make vaccination mandatory, especially for certain professional groups, as other regions have already done,” Patyashina said.

According to her, the republic received 548,000 doses of the vaccine, and 447,000 people were vaccinated. About 30 new cases of covid-19 infection are detected daily in the republic . The daily growth rate remains at the level of 0.1%.
