The Russian Embassy in Thailand has asked the country's authorities to include the one-component Sputnik Light CORONAVIRUS vaccine in the list of drugs for entry without mandatory quarantine, Russian Ambassador to Thailand Yevgeny Tomikhin said.

“We have now raised the issue of including Sputnik Light in the list of vaccines allowed to enter Thailand under quarantine-free programs. We sent a corresponding appeal, we hope that the Thai side will positively consider this issue, ”he said (quoted by TASS).

According to Tomikhin, adding the drug to the non-quarantine list would be logical, since it is a one-component version of Sputnik V, which is already on the list, and the drug is also used for revaccination.

On February 1, Thailand lifted the quarantine for those fully vaccinated with Sputnik V, the Russian Consulate General in Phuket reported. To enter, tourists must present a certificate of vaccination in English, pay in advance for two PCR tests on the first and fifth day of their stay in the country, and confirm the reservation at the hotel.
