Rospotrebnadzor announced the absence of a requirement for teachers to wear masks

There are no federal HEALTH laws requiring teachers to wear masks in schools. This was stated by the press service of Rospotrebnadzor, TASS reports.

“There were no requirements for the wearing of masks by teachers in the federal sanitary legislation,” the ministry said in a statement.

Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin proposed abolishing the mandatory wearing of masks for teachers in the classroom and in school buildings. According to Sobyanin, wearing masks should be advisory. At the same time, he added that other CORONAVIRUS restrictions in schools will remain in force.

The mayor noted that more than 80% of teachers in Moscow schools had been vaccinated against the coronavirus.
