Vsevolod Nemolyaev, a ballet dancer and DIRECTOR at the State Academic Bolshoi Theater and brother of actress Svetlana Nemolyaeva, has died at the age of 87, TASS and the Moscow City News Agency report, citing the theater's press service.

"Vsevolod Vladimirovich passed away today. The man was 87 years old. He was an amazing and interesting person. I am glad that I knew him," said the HEAD of the institution's press service, Katerina Novikova.

RBC asked Svetlana Nemolayeva for comment.

The TELEGRAM channel Mash wrote that the preliminary cause of death was acute cardiovascular failure.

Vsevolod Nemolyaev was born in Moscow on February 22, 1937. His passion for ballet was passed on to him by his mother, Sofia Gugeleva, who danced at the Dramballet studio and became a participant in the variety show Thirty Girls.

In 1956, Nemolyaev graduated from the Moscow Choreographic School and at the same time became an artist of the Bolshoi Theater ballet troupe, from 1972 - a soloist, from 1977 - a ballet director, and then he was appointed a cast director. In addition, in 1970, Nemolyaev graduated from the theater studies department of the State Institute of Theater Arts.

During his career, the artist took part in the performances of The Nutcracker, Spartacus, starred in the feature television film After the Ball, and Nemolyaev’s concert repertoire includes the choreographic numbers Dolls and The Musical Snuffbox to the music of Anatoly Lyadov.

Nemolyaev took part in the production of such famous works as the ballets The Little Humpbacked Horse by Rodion Shchedrin, Romeo and Juliet by Sergei Prokofiev, and the opera The Tsar's Bride by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.

The artist is survived by a son. Kirill Nemolyaev is a Russian rock musician, songwriter, TV and radio host, music producer, and ballet dancer.
