Almost half of Germans are dissatisfied with the work of Olaf Scholz as Chancellor of Germany, follows from a survey by the Insa public opinion research institute, cited by the newspaper Bild am Sonntag.

According to the survey, 49% of people expressed dissatisfaction with the work of Scholz. Sociologists note that this figure was the highest since his tenure as Federal Chancellor.

At the same time, 38% of respondents supported Scholz. At the same time, as sociologists have found out, more than half of the inhabitants of Germany (55%) do not approve of the work of the federal government, and only 35% of respondents are satisfied with the activities of the German Cabinet.

A total of 1,002 people took part in the survey.

Olaf Scholz became Chancellor in December 2021. He replaced Angela Merkel as HEAD of the German government, who has been chancellor for the past 16 years.

Then, in the elections held in Germany on September 26, the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), which was headed by Angela Merkel for many years, showed the worst result in history, gaining 24.1% of the vote. In the first place were the Social Democrats from the SPD led by Scholz with a score of 25.7%. Third place was taken by the Greens with a score of 14.8%, followed by the Free Democrats with 11.5%, the Alternative for Germany (AfD) with 10.3% and the Left with 4.9%.
