The   Sri Lanka Securities Commission has ordered the suspension of the Colombo Stock Exchange next week. it is reported by BLOOMBERG.

The regulator explained its decision by the fact that investors need time to adapt to new conditions.

Since the beginning of the COVID-10 pandemic, an economic crisis has begun in the country. On April 12, the Ministry of Finance of Sri Lanka defaulted on all external debt obligations. The volume of external debt is estimated at $35 billion. Inflation has reached a record 17%.
