The development of the situation with CORONAVIRUS infection is beyond the forecasts of specialists. Denis Protsenko, chief physician of hospital No. 40 in Kommunarka, said this on air on the Rossiya 1 TV channel.

“Covid deceives all forecasts. We see growth, we work, we went to work further,” he said.

In RUSSIA, the number of new cases of coronavirus has increased sharply over the past month. On October 3, 25,769 infected people were registered, of which 4.2 thousand were detected in Moscow, 2.4 thousand in St. Petersburg, and 1.6 thousand in the Moscow region. In total, during the pandemic, 7,586,536 cases of infection were recorded in the country.

For comparison: in early September, an average of about 18 thousand cases were detected per day, by September 23 the figure exceeded 21 thousand, and by October 1 - 24 thousand. On Thursday, the presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov commented on the increase in the incidence. He noted that the authorities see a growing wave, but no decisions have yet been made at the federal level on restrictions for citizens. At the same time, he stressed that the regions will have to respond to growing indicators.
