Mexican President tests positive for COVID-19 for second time

Mexican President Andres Manuel López Obrador has tested positive for the CORONAVIRUS and is showing mild symptoms. He spoke about this on Twitter.

“I will remain in isolation and will only do office work and communicate virtually,” wrote Obrador.

He also added that Adan Augusto Lopez Hernandez, Minister of the Interior of the Republic, will represent at press conferences and other events. “With love, as always!” said the Mexican president.

This is the second time Obrador has been infected with COVID-19, the previous time he was infected a year ago, at the end of January 2021. “The symptoms are mild, but I am already being treated. As always, I am optimistic. We will all move forward, ”he said then. A year ago, Obrador commissioned Interior Minister Olga Sanchez Cordero to represent him.
