Popova said there is no data on the level of antibodies that protect against COVID

“There is still no answer, what level of antibodies, measured in different ways, is protective and what level of antibodies is diagnostic,” she said (quoted by RIA Novosti).

Popova also noted that in regions where more than 60% of those who were vaccinated against covid-19 , the incidence is lower than it was in summer. “Where we have a high level of immunization in the subjects, <...> where immunization is above 60%, in these subjects not only the proportion of cases is lower, but the intensive rates per 100,000 population are lower than they were in summer,” — she pointed out.

In the summer, Russian Minister of HEALTH Mikhail Murashko said in an interview with RIA Novosti that there was no data on a sufficient level of antibodies to protect. “The coronavirus is mutating, new strains are emerging. At the moment, the scientific community does not have reasonable data on what level of antibodies is sufficient to protect the body, ”he pointed out. According to him, the currently available test systems lack data on the interpretation of the results of the study, such as the duration of protection, protectiveness and the degree of resistance of the immune system to response to virus mutations.
