Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' warned "all bosses" against going over to tyranny. The broadcast of the pre-Easter message was conducted by Channel One.

“I mean everyone. Both ecclesiastical authority and secular authority. Both clergy and laity. And all sorts of bosses, big and small. The performance of commanding functions, which sometimes require, among other things, the restriction of the freedom of others, cannot be accompanied by personal pride and exaltation, then power becomes tyranny, ”he said.

Patriarch Kirill noted that believers have many obstacles and temptations on their way to the church, including "the temptation of power." He added that the church should avoid participating in the political struggle, which becomes a factor that divides the people.
