In the Rostov region, more than 1.3 thousand children and adolescents have already been vaccinated against CORONAVIRUS. This was reported in the press center for informing about the situation on covid-19 .

“According to the latest data, 1,373 children have already been vaccinated. There are 1,027 more doses in stock,” the report says.

Recall that the first batch of the Sputnik M vaccine, intended for immunization of children and adolescents, arrived in the Rostov Region in January 2021. They can be vaccinated by minors from 12 to 17 years old.

Vaccination of adolescents is voluntary. In order to receive the vaccination, a written application from the parents or legal representatives of the child and voluntary informed consent for children from 12 to 14 years of age must be provided. Adolescents aged 15 to 17 sign the consent on their own.

The Ministry of HEALTH of the Russian Federation registered the Sputnik M vaccine on November 24, 2021. As reported on the official website of the drug, the vaccine for children was called "Sputnik M" because it was made on the basis of "Sputnik V", and the letter "M" means "for little ones." According to the creators, she "passed all the studies on the study of safety and efficacy and is recommended for use."
