“We are rating the regions and see where, taking into account the incidence, the total number of patients, the bed network, there are high risks. I would like to note the regions that have the highest risk in this case. These are the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ivanovo region, the Orenburg region, the Voronezh region, the Saratov region, the Udmurt Republic, the Lipetsk region,” said Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko during the presidium of the coordinating council under the government to combat covid-19

According to him, today the healthcare systems in these regions are under maximum stress.

On the eve of the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, the HEAD of the city health department Vladimir Zhavoronkov said that the city's medical system is operating in the mode of maximum load on doctors. Over the past week, the number of ambulance calls due to SARS and pneumonia amounted to 3.4 thousand. In total, from October 18 to October 24, Kazan ambulances completed more than 8,000 calls.

“Today, 81 ambulance teams are working around the clock in the city. 2,151 beds have been deployed in the city’s temporary infectious diseases hospitals, the share of vacant beds on Monday morning is about 7%, ”Zhavoronkov said, adding that the Ministry of Health is working on the gradual introduction of new capacities for hospitalization of patients with COVID-19.

The minister reports on the tense covid situation in Tatarstan for the third week in a row. Murashko named Tatarstan among three regions that are of "particular concern".

“The situation differs significantly from subject to subject. The most disturbing regions are located in the Volga region, especially the Orenburg region, Tatarstan, Bashkiria. These three regions are of the greatest concern today,” he said.
