Murashko called the proportion of Russians over 60 who were vaccinated with the first component

More than 62% of Russians over 60 have received the first component of the covid-19 vaccine , HEALTH Minister Mikhail Murashko said on the RUSSIA 1 TV channel.

“The main thing that is directly critical for us today is life-saving, this is the category of people over 60 years old. And we see that in this age category of people who received the vaccine, the first component has already made up more than 62%,” he said, adding that this is a good result.

Earlier, the deputy mayor of the capital for social development, Anastasia Rakova, said that over the year, 1.4 million Muscovites over 60 were vaccinated with at least one component. According to her, in nursing homes, 98% of those admitted to vaccination, including employees of these institutions, underwent primary and secondary vaccination.

At the end of October, the HEAD of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, said that the incidence among older people in Russia is significantly higher than the national average. According to her, the average incidence of CORONAVIRUS in Russia is 172.1 people per 100,000 people, and in the group of people over 65 this figure is 224 people.
