In the Novosibirsk region, there is an increase in the incidence of CORONAVIRUS among children, adolescents and young people. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of HEALTH of the region Elena Aksenova during a live broadcast of the NHS portal.
She explained that, first of all, this dynamics is due to the fact that many young patients have not developed immunity from coronavirus, since most of them have not yet had time to recover from the first and second waves.
At the moment, in the Novosibirsk region, adolescents are the most common patients with symptoms of covid-19 . As the deputy minister noted, in the autumn-winter period, the disease in children was most often asymptomatic, but now clinical cases are being recorded.
The reasons for the increase in the incidence among young people, according to Aksenova, could be non-compliance with preventive measures and refusal to vaccinate.
Aksenova also reported an increase in the incidence of coronavirus among middle-aged and young patients.
“Among them, the minimum number of vaccinated. Of course, older people also turn to us. I also want to note the more severe course of the disease in everyone, starting from the first symptoms, ”Aksenova emphasized.
As the chief infectious disease specialist of the region Larisa Pozdnyakova previously reported, the number of severe cases of coronavirus infection among young people aged 18 to 20 has increased in the Novosibirsk region.
