The Russian Ministry of HEALTH approved temporary guidelines on the procedure for vaccination against CORONAVIRUS. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the department.

“The recommendations contain requirements for vaccination to ensure its effectiveness and safety, as well as for the reliability of accounting. They are sent to the regions of RUSSIA,” the message says.

The Ministry of Health noted that if there are any serious adverse reactions to the first dose of the vaccine, a second injection can be given with another drug.

“Vaccination of recovered patients and re-vaccination can be carried out with any vaccine registered in the prescribed manner, in accordance with the instructions for the medical use of the drug,” the ministry added.

The press service clarified that after reaching the target for herd immunity, vaccination against covid-19 switches to a “routine regimen” once every 12 months after vaccination or illness. At the same time, citizens have the right to be re-vaccinated after six months if they wish.

If necessary, the authorities of the regions can return to the "emergency" mode of the vaccination campaign based on the decisions of the chief sanitary doctors.
