The Ministry of Defense announced the start of revaccination of the military against COVID

In the Armed Forces (AF) of RUSSIA, the revaccination of military personnel has started, the Ministry of Defense reported.

“From July 1, 2021, revaccination against a new CORONAVIRUS infection of military personnel of all categories who have already received a full vaccination course before January 1, 2021 has been organized in the military medical organizations of the Russian Ministry of Defense,” the message says (TASS quote).

The ministry also arranged for revaccination of military family members, federal government civil servants, civilian personnel, and military retirees.

On July 1, revaccination against coronavirus infection started in Moscow, it will be carried out with Sputnik V drugs and its one-component version Sputnik Light. In total, 20 revaccination points will operate in the capital.

The HEAD of the Ministry of HEALTH, Mikhail Murashko, said that a re-vaccination against COVID-19 is needed six months after the first vaccination or the disease.

WHO representative in Russia Melita Vujnovic said earlier that it is safe to get vaccinated against coronavirus at any level of antibodies. The fact that the presence of a high level of antibodies is not a contraindication for vaccination was also reported by the operational headquarters.
