The Ministry of Digital Development has begun checking reports of data leakage from the STOP Coronavirus Public Services application, through which you can, among other things, receive a QR code about vaccination or transferred covid-19 , RBC was told in the press service of the department.

As the Telegram channel “Information Leaks” reported, hackers posted on a shadow forum a sample database of QR codes grafted from this application. it contained the first letters of the patient's last name, first name and patronymic in Russian and English, date of birth, his unique number in the register of the Ministry of HEALTH, the first two digits of the series and the last three digits of the passport number, the name of the vaccine and the QR code itself in PNG format with the expiration date .

According to the channel, the sample contained 10 thousand lines, and the full database - 48 million, the seller demanded $ 100 thousand for it. The message noted that the database did not contain the personal data of Russians, however, a random check showed that the QR codes presented in it , lead to the website of "Gosuslug" and match the codes indicated on the official page of their verification.

The Ministry of Digital Development stated that nothing threatens the personal data of those vaccinated or those who have been ill. The agency also said that it is impossible to use QR codes with information that, according to the Telegram channel, is presented in the database, for this you must also present an identity card.
