Medvedev proposed to discuss the idea of ​​free travel for schoolchildren

Dmitry Medvedev, chairman of the United RUSSIA party and deputy HEAD of the Security Council of Russia, suggested considering the possibility of introducing free public transport for schoolchildren. He stated this at the Big Family Council forum.

“We need to look at a whole range of other ideas. For example, I mean the introduction of free public transport for all schoolchildren,” he said.

Medvedev added that the situation in this area is very different from each other in different regions due to the heterogeneous economic situation.

Medvedev also called outrageous the situation when the fare for a taxi ride with a child seat is more expensive than a regular trip. “So, do you have a child? Then the trip will be more expensive. This causes nothing but indignation, ”he stated (quoted by TASS).
