The Kremlin discussed the list of "United Russia" without Medvedev
The Kremlin is discussing a new scenario for elections to the State Duma - for the first time since 2007, the pre-election federal list may be headed not by a single leader, but by several people, five sources close to the presidential administration told RBC. In 2007, the list of United Russia members was single-handedly headed by Vladimir Putin , in 2011 and 2016 by Dmitry Medvedev.
According to VTsIOM data, as of May 31, 23.3% of those polled said they trusted Dmitry Medvedev at the end of May, and 66.6% said they did not trust him (closed question, the respondent chooses politicians from the list). According to the answers to an open question, when respondents themselves name any number of politicians, 2.1% of citizens trust the chairman of United Russia, 12.1% do not. Several members of United Russia in an interview with RBC expressed doubt that his sole leadership in the list would be able to bring something in the elections. Sole leadership, according to RBC sources, is possible only if the list is headed by Vladimir Putin, but so far this is an unlikely option. Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that he was not aware of the condemnation of this option. The federal part of the United Russia list last consisted of several people in 2003: then the party was led to the elections by a troika consisting of Boris Gryzlov, Sergei Shoigu and Yuri Luzhkov. Now the Kremlin, based on opinion polls, is testing different versions of the list of United Russia members, there is no final version yet, RBC interlocutors told. According to the law, up to 15 people can be in the HEAD part of the list of any party.Inflation in Russia exceeded 6%
In Russia, annual inflation in May accelerated to 6.02% from 5.53% in April, according to Rosstat data. The last time annual inflation exceeded 6.0% was in October 2016 (6.1%).
