"Nationalists" in Ukraine do not let civilians out of those cities from where, at the suggestion of the Russian side, humanitarian corridors were opened, said the HEAD of the Russian delegation, aide to the President of RUSSIA Vladimir Medinsky. The broadcast was hosted by RBC.

“The nationalists who have seized positions in the cities continue to hold civilians there, using them indirectly and directly <...> as a “human shield”. This is, of course, a war crime that will be investigated accordingly,” the head of the delegation said.

Medinsky added that these "nationalists" are not subordinate to Kyiv and behave "not according to the laws of war" and "not according to the laws of honor."

The statement was made on the eve of the third round of negotiations with the Ukrainian side. Medinsky noted that the Russian delegation was waiting for its Kyiv colleagues and was ready for negotiations. According to the delegate, the parties will discuss the same issues that were discussed earlier: “internal political settlement”, “international humanitarian aspects” and “issues of military settlement”.
