RUSSIA and Belarus are not just allies - they are one entity in the economy and military sphere, and the peoples of the two countries grow from the same root. This was stated by Belarusian President ALEXANDER LUKASHENKO in an interview with the Japanese TV channel TBS.

“Belarus and Russia are practically one whole in production, in the economy, in sales, a single market. And militarily, we generally have one grouping of armed forces. That is, we are closely connected,” he stressed (quoted by BelTA).

Lukashenka noted that Belarus and Russia are so "built into" each other's production systems that breaking these ties will lead to a catastrophe in the economy. MINSK also supplies about half of its products to Russia. “That says it all,” said the leader of Belarus.

He recalled that all these ties are called the Union State, which Belarus and Russia are trying to build.
