According to the publication, Raikin, who was dismissed from the post of artistic DIRECTOR, estimated the damage from the alleged fraud of the rector Polyankin at 800 million rubles. According to the plaintiff, Polyankin tried to trick him into obtaining his assets,

Anatoly Polyankin, the rector of the Higher School of Performing Arts (HSSI, formerly the Theater School of Konstantin Raikin), is suspected of fraud on an especially large scale (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code), Kommersant found out.

The former artistic director of the school, People's Artist of RUSSIA, Konstantin Raikin claims that the rector tricked him into signing documents on the transfer of all his assets to Polyankin and people in whose interests he could act. Among such assets were, among other things, a part of the Raikin Plaza shopping center and a theater school. Raikin estimated the damage caused to him at 800 million rubles, and this is only the cadastral value of real estate.

Polyankin, according to Kommersant, denies any involvement in this crime, but law enforcement sources reported that there was evidence to the contrary. A soft measure of restraint - house arrest - according to them, was chosen because of the age and state of HEALTH of the rector.

RBC turned to the EMPP law office for a comment (representing the interests of Raikin).

The arrest of Polyankin became known on April 15. He must be charged within ten days. His wife said that her husband was “rudely taken away for interrogation” after the dismissal of Konstantin Raikin from the post of artistic director of the Higher School of Arts. The ECPP clarified that the criminal case against Polyankin was initiated at the request of Raikin dated December 2021.

The COURT arrested the rector who fired Raikin from his school Society

On April 12, Raikin ceased to be the artistic director of the Higher School of Economics, and, according to him, he learned about his dismissal about a month before. The post of artistic director was eliminated. University students in an appeal to the authorities called Raikin's dismissal unacceptable. Raikin said that his resignation is a step towards "targeted methodical destruction" of the educational institution.

The EMPP previously reported on a lawsuit filed by Polyankin last year to liquidate the Fund for the Support and Development of Culture. Raikin, whose founders are Konstantin Raikin and Polyankin and who owns the VSSI building. After that, the building was to be transferred to legal entities controlled by Polyankin, but the court did not satisfy the claim.

Polyankin said that no one stole the building of the theater school, it belongs to the fund, which gave it to the university for free use. At the same time, according to the rector, since 2020 he has been receiving from Raikin “requirements (in written and electronic form) <...>, in accordance with which Raikin K.A. shall obtain, free of charge, full and sole control over the school building.
