US presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. said that he would end the conflict in Ukraine in 100 days, he wrote about this on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
He assured that the conflict would be ended “on better terms than anyone reasonably expects.”
This is not the first time that the politician has spoken out about military actions in Ukraine and relations with RUSSIA. Thus, in April, he called the conflict between Moscow and Kiev a huge problem for the United States, since it accelerates the rapprochement between Russia and CHINA , which represents the worst outcome for Washington. At the end of July, Kennedy Jr. warned against an “existential battle” with Russia, recalling its huge stockpile of nuclear weapons.
Another candidate in the American elections, former President Donald Trump , promised that he would end the conflict in Ukraine within 24 hours. “Literally the same night as my victory becomes known, I will call two people: [Vladimir] Putin and [Vladimir] Zelensky. <...>. We will make a deal within 24 hours,” Trump said, without disclosing the details of the likely agreement.
Kyiv demands the return of the borders as they were in 1991 and the withdrawal of all Russian troops. Moscow rejects any peace plans that do not provide for its sovereignty over the Donbass, Crimea, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. Russian authorities are calling for recognition of the “realities on the ground” that emerged during the fighting.
