The publishing house Condé Nast suspends work in Russia due to the military operation in Ukraine and the law criminalizing fakes about the actions of the Russian military. The corresponding statement of the head of the house, Roger Lynch, is published on the company's website.
The Condé Nast media group has been operating on the Russian market since 1998. it currently publishes seven premium glossy magazines: Vogue, GQ, GQ Style, Tatler, AD, Glamour, and Glamor Style Book.
“It is critical for journalists and editorial teams around the world that we can create content without compromising the safety of our employees. Recently, the Russian government passed new censorship laws that now make this impossible for us. In this regard, we have decided to temporarily suspend all our publishing operations with Condé Nast Russia,” Lichn wrote.
He also added that Condé Nast was shocked by the ongoing violence and humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
