On July 12, several children were poisoned by chlorine vapors in the Kazan Riviera water park. A 9-year-old boy was hospitalized in critical condition. The child was in intensive care. He was connected to a ventilator.

On July 15, the investigating authorities detained a 52-year-old deputy chief engineer of Aquapark-Suvar LLC. He is suspected of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet security requirements). However, the COURT did not place him in custody.

On July 16, the Ministry of HEALTH of the Republic of Tatarstan announced interruptions in the supply of vaccine against CORONAVIRUS infection to the republic. “We note interruptions in the supply of the vaccine. Increase in the incidence of COVID-19 in Tatarstan 

Compared to the same period in June, the incidence in July increased by 60%. This was announced on July 16 by the deputy HEAD of the Rospotrebnadzor department for the Republic of Tatarstan, Lyubov Avdonina.

According to her, the increase in the incidence began on June 25. As of today, the weekly average growth rate remains at the level of 0.2%.

“We can with some degree of probability predict an increase in cases in the future, given the fact that there are still a sufficient number of people who do not have immunity to a new coronavirus infection, who have not been vaccinated or have already lost immunity after vaccination,” she said.
