During the shelling of the village of Klimovo in the Bryansk region, about a hundred houses were damaged, two of which burned down completely, said the HEAD of the region, Alexander Bogomaz, on the air of the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

“A blow was dealt <...>. They struck at an urban-type settlement - this is the regional center of Klimovo, nine shells flew there. They knew where they were shooting, and they knew that they were shooting at a residential sector, at residential buildings. Two houses burned down completely, and about 100 houses suffered damage of varying severity,” he said.

According to him, most of the shells landed in the private sector, where mostly one-story residential buildings are located. Residents from the area were not evacuated.

Later, he cited data according to which the number of victims increased to eight. Bogomaz announced seven victims and specified that there was a 70-year-old woman among them.

On April 11, the authorities of the Bryansk region declared a yellow level of terrorist threat in the region. This is the second of three possible levels, it is introduced "if there is confirmed information about the real possibility of committing a terrorist act."
