The State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill on introducing the CORONAVIRUS vaccine into the National Vaccination Calendar. The document is placed in the legislative support system.

“The bill proposes to amend the Federal Law
in terms of supplementing the National Immunization Schedule with a vaccination against the new coronavirus infection covid-19,” the explanatory note to the document says. Amendments will be made to paragraph 1 of Art. 9 of Federal Law No. 157-FZ "On Immunoprophylaxis of Infectious Diseases".

The national vaccination schedule includes prophylactic vaccinations against hepatitis B, diphtheria, whooping cough, measles, rubella, poliomyelitis, tetanus, tuberculosis, mumps, hemophilic infection, pneumococcal infection, influenza.

In December 2020, the Ministry of HEALTH, on behalf of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, introduced vaccination against coronavirus into the preventive vaccination calendar. On May 25, the government submitted a bill to the State Duma for consideration. After the adoption of the federal law, it will be necessary to allocate 75.8 billion rubles for its implementation. in 2021–2023.

The National Immunization Calendar is a document approved by the Ministry of Health, which determines the timing and types of vaccinations carried out free of charge and on a massive scale in accordance with the CHI program.
