Google filed a lawsuit against the Russian authorities for the first time

The American company Google filed a lawsuit against Roskomnadzor. As follows from the filing cabinet of the Moscow Arbitration COURT, on May 11, the court accepted for processing the application filed on April 23 by Google LLC to the federal service.

Kommersant was the first to pay attention to the lawsuit. According to the newspaper, this is the first lawsuit filed by an American corporation against the Russian authorities. Previously, Google was involved in litigation only as a defendant or a third party.

The it giant is trying to challenge the decision of Roskomnadzor to block 12 links to videos posted on Google-owned YouTube video hosting. The service confirmed this information to Kommersant.
