Kiev insists on direct negotiations between the two presidents, since "it is Putin who makes the final decisions," the Foreign Ministry said. The Kremlin previously said that contacts between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations are enough

Ukraine wants to achieve direct negotiations between Presidents Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin, said Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba.

“We have long wanted a direct conversation, <...> because everyone understands that it is he [Putin] who makes the final decisions, especially now,” he said live on Ukrainian television (quoted by REUTERS).

“Our president is not afraid of anything, including a direct meeting with Putin. If Putin is also not afraid, let him come to the meeting, let them sit down and talk,” Kuleba added.

The Kremlin answered the question about the possibility of negotiations between Putin and Zelensky

Kuleba will meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Antalya on March 10, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said.
