This was stated by the DIRECTOR of the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after N.F. Gamalei Alexander Gintsburg, reports TASS.

“Completely on New Year’s Eve, it is not necessary to give up ALCOHOL, one or two glasses <...> antibodies will not interfere,” Gunzburg said.

However, he noted that alcohol abuse adversely affects the immune system. “In general , alcohol weakens the immune system and subsequently increases susceptibility to coronavirus infection,” the scientist added.

Last year, Gunzburg also did not prohibit drinking alcohol during vaccination, but he emphasized that it is necessary to limit alcohol consumption in order to form an immune response in the body.
