Germany to ban entry from UK due to new strains of COVID
From May 23, German authorities will impose a travel ban from the UK to Germany, after the German Institute of Public HEALTH listed Britain as a country where potentially dangerous strains of covid-19 are circulating . This is reported by The Guardian newspaper.
Entry into Germany from the UK and Northern Ireland will only be allowed to persons who hold German citizenship. Also, close relatives of German citizens will be able to enter Germany, provided that they travel together. Exceptions will also apply to people staying due to such serious reasons as the loss of a relative.
