The information that the officers of the Matrosskaya Tishina pre-trial detention center beat up the crime boss Oleg Medvedev (before changing his surname - Shishkanov) is not true, according to the TELEGRAM channel of the Federal Penitentiary Service.
Medvedev's lawyer Yelena Senina told Regnum about the beating. According to her, this happened on April 14 before the COURT hearing to extend the term of her client's arrest. According to Medvedev, he refused to eat in the pre-trial detention center, as he was afraid of poisoning; Because of this, he said, nine employees of Matrosskaya Tishina hit him on the back of the HEAD and back, and also pierced his palm with a cell key. As the agency wrote, Medvedev was taken to the courthouse without shoes and outerwear, handcuffed hands and feet with a “swallow”, his shoulder joint was dislocated.
The Federal Penitentiary Service said that Medvedev refused to go to the court session at the request of the prison staff. “After repeated warnings, a technique was applied to him: bending his arm behind his back,” the department said.

In particular, Medvedev and his accomplices are accused of murdering the general DIRECTOR of CJSC Plemzavod Ramenskoye, deputy of the local government Tatyana Sidorova, and three members of her family. They went missing in 2012. During the investigation, traces of blood were found in Sidorova's house, and a burned-out car was found in the neighboring district. The bodies of Sidorova and three of her relatives were found in October 2019.
