Two employees of Sberbank were detained for staging the theft of 20 million rubles.

The police of the Rostov region detained two employees of Sberbank, they are suspected of staging a robbery of 20 million rubles, the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

Initially, a representative of Sberbank called the police and said that the attacker entered the bank building in the Aksai district with a weapon and stole a large amount of money. A criminal case was initiated under Art. 162 of the Criminal Code (robbery).

However, it later turned out that two bank employees transferred more than 20 million rubles to the accounts of accomplices, and then, in order to hide this, they asked their friend to stage a robbery for a monetary reward, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

“Currently, four suspects, including both bank employees, have been detained and taken into custody,” the Interior Ministry said.
