The Ministry of HEALTH of the Novosibirsk Region reported that 1.2 thousand medical students were attracted to the region to fight the CORONAVIRUS pandemic. To do this, representatives of the regional Ministry of Health appealed to the Novosibirsk State Medical University and the Medical College. This was reported in the press service of the government of the Novosibirsk region.

Elena Aksenova, Deputy Minister of Health of the Novosibirsk Region, said that 550 students from Novosibirsk State Medical University were sent to undergo industrial practice in hospitals. Another 233 medical students were sent to 11 Novosibirsk polyclinics as part of their work experience. 200 students of the medical college help the employees of the polyclinic and ambulance dispatchers.

“Due to the increase in the incidence of covid-19 , students of the medical college, residents and specialty students of the Novosibirsk State Medical University, as well as teachers of medical educational institutions are employed in the medical organizations of the Novosibirsk region. A total of 283 people are in primary care, hospitals and ambulances,” the regional government said in a statement.

The Ministry of Health of the Novosibirsk Region has formed a personnel reserve for outpatient services. it included 100 physicians of non-core specialties.
